HOW TO MAKE YOUR MOMMY MAKEOVER EASIER

Preparing for your Mommy Makeover after having children can be that final cherry on top for many women. This procedure will allow you to gain confidence and help you return to your pre-baby body. Unfortunately, since a Mommy Makeover involves a combination of procedures (breast procedures, liposuction, and tummy tuck), the recovery is nothing to shrug off. And while combining procedures is the best way to ensure the most timely and most comfortable recovery, you may still need to prepare yourself for some rough days ahead. Fortunately, there are a few tips to remember that will help provide you with the most comfortable recovery possible.

Arrange For Help

You will need someone to drive you home and stay with you for at least the first night. After that, any help in the following days is beneficial to you if they can assist you with getting dressed and cleaning your drains, or motivating you to get on your feet for peaceful strolls around your house or neighborhood, and even food preparation. Also, it is never a bad idea to have an extra pair of eyes on your kids, to drive them where they need to be, and ensure that they allow you the opportunity to heal properly. The time following your procedure is the time that you need to take for you.

Plan Ahead

You will need someone to drive you home and stay with you during the first 24 hours of recovery. Any assistance in the following days is beneficial if they can help you get dressed, clean your drains, motivate you to take short walks, and prepare your meals. Additionally, it is crucial to have someone watch your little ones and drive them where they need to be so you can heal properly. Your recovery is your opportunity to take time for yourself and to ensure you have the most satisfying outcome.

Fill Prescriptions Before

To help manage any pain or discomfort you may experience during your recovery process, Dr. Perez-Gurri and Dr. Garcia will prescribe you oral pain medication. Antibiotic medication will also be prescribed to prevent infection. Filling these prescriptions ahead of time will be one more thing checked off your list. Even the tiniest of actions can make a world of difference in easing your body back to normal.

Stop Smoking

Stopping any tobacco use is necessary both before and after your procedure to speed up your recovery time and improve the quality of your results. Not only does smoking raise the possibilities of complications during the procedure, but it can also decrease blood flow, making it more difficult for you to heal afterward.
